Meet Your Executive Director

April Crumley

How did you get into senior living?

I believe it is a calling; It is a path that finds you. Growing up, I lived with my grandparents throughout many seasons of my life. They were my world and during their later years suffered with dementia. Having the opportunity to care for others and their moms and dads is a blessing and pure joy; I’ve often said that I’ve been blessed with many grandparents and in our community, we truly do become family.

Who inspires you?

My Pappaw, CC Crumley, was my hero! He was a POW in WWII and survived the Bataan Death March. The stories he would share would amaze you! He was admired by many and would do anything for others! He taught me the importance of integrity and to have a strong work ethic. He certainly was an amazing role model. I love and miss him so much!!

What would people be surprised to know about you?

I’ve wrestled an alligator…true story.

Sky diving…once is enough!

FSU Water Ski Team…yes, there is a water ski team.

My testimony…I’ve been through many storms and saved by God’s grace.

How did you end up at Inspired Living?

Well…previously, I was employed at a skilled nursing facility for over 5 years. During this time, I had two separate friends from church inquire about me providing a resume to two separate potential employers. I wasn’t looking at the time but had a sense that God was leading me to the next chapter in my life. After meeting with several members, sharing their vision, and much prayer, God made it clear Inspired Living was my home; I’m truly grateful to be a part of the Inspired family.

What do you want your legacy to be?

My love for people and compassion to help others; I’ve been through many of life’s storms and it is my strong desire that I would leave others with a sense of encouragement and hope; my faith in God is what guides me and directs my life daily.
