Why did you get into senior living?

I wanted to be a nurse since I was three years of age when my grandma made me a nurse's cape and cap for Halloween. My dad became ill when I was young and I grew up being exposed to all types of healthcare environments which made my passion for nursing even stronger. Upon graduation from nursing school, I immediately realized that a hospital setting was not the direction I wanted and went directly into caring for seniors, I have been afforded the opportunity to work in a variety of healthcare arenas. I am living out my passion helping seniors and their families navigate through the healthcare system.

Who truly inspires you?

My family has always been my inspiration, I have three children who drive me each and every day to always be the best that I can be! I strive to be an example to them and my hope is that they see how they have inspired me to make a difference every day!

A thing people would be surprised to know about you?

I love to cook, I enjoy trying new and different recipes for my family and then having everyone together to enjoy!

Beatles or Elvis?

Elvis, of course, I grew up with my mom listening to Elvis!

How did you wind up at Inspired Living?

During the pandemic unfortunately for the first time in my life was left without a job, I began my job search and decided I wanted to return to a career in Assisted Living, I found Validus Senior Living, applied, and here I am enjoying working with a fabulous team where we are dedicated in taking care of our Moms and Dads!!!

What do you want your legacy to be?

Leaving a legacy isn’t about what you’ve obtained in physical assets, wealth, or accomplishments, for me it’s to always live my life being kind and genuine with no expectation of reward or recognition. I hope I have an impact on the hearts of my family, especially my children and others every single day!!!
